Black Sand Beach Maui, HI

Where do I even begin!  Hawaii, wow what an amazing experience!  My family and I did a split stay, 4 nights on Maui and 4 nights on Oahu.  We are adventurers and love to dig deep into culture and all the things that a destination has to offer.  While on Maui, we stayed at The Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, which is on the southwest side of the island. Our room was a Signature Deluxe King Room Suite on the 7th floor and the views certainly did not disappoint!  This is a 5 Star Luxury Resort with impeccable service.  The grounds were immaculate and food was delicious.  We had the breakfast plan added onto our package, which included a buffet every morning that served made to order omelette's, and a full array of fruits, meats, and pastries.  Other restaurants on property include Nick's Fishmarket and Ko.  The pool bar, Ama, provided the perfect spot to grab an adult drink or lunch.  We spent a lot of time relaxing at their swim up bar!   The beach was the perfect place to soak up some sun, take a swim, or just enjoy the view and sound of the waves.

Our Maui itinerary included a 3-story catamaran snorkel tour, complete with lunch, beverages, and 2 snorkel sites.  Molokini Island was our first stop, then we ventured closer to shore to get a chance to swim with sea turtles!  On day 2, we completed the Road to Hana on our own which is great because you can make stops as frequently as you like.  Day 3, was a resort day where we soaked up the sun and enjoyed the pools and grounds.

After a quick inter-island flight we made it to Oahu!  Being a Disney enthusiast we of course stayed at non-other than Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa!  We chose to splurge on a 1-Bedroom Suite for the space even though our family of 4 could easily fit in a standard room.  The 1-bedroom suites come with a full kitchen, split bathroom, and an extra long balcony to accommodate entering from the bedroom or living area where the other pull-out sofa and pull-down Murphy bed were located.  Again, the grounds were beautiful and included anything that you could ever ask for in a resort!  An infinity pool. lazy river, multiple regular pools. kids play areas, large cove to swim in the ocean, characters out daily, restaurants, spa, fitness center, tons of daily activities, and of course KA WA‘A – A Lu‘au!

Our Oahu itinerary took us right next door to Paradise Cove Luau.  What a treat!  Great food and entertainment with a fire show!  On day 2. we chartered a private boat for a half day fishing trip in the bay.  No luck for there, but that is why it is called fishing....not catching!  Ha!  On our very last full day in Oahu, we relaxed at our resort enjoyed the ocean views!  We could even get a sneak peak of the luau from our balcony!

Hawaii is a MUST SEE destination!  Mahalo!
